Learning Pool is an award-winning, work-place learning service, that was initiating plans to create, and roll out, it’s latest service. This exciting new service required a name, and a brand, that showcased the products potential and tied into the ever-expanding brand of Learning Pool – all while differentiating the service from its competitors.
From this focal point, and through a thorough competitor audit, came the idea of exploring the themes of water and learning. This resulted in Cascade being the idea that was chosen to explore further. The idea of learning being a fluid concept, and knowledge being shared from one person to another  was our primary reasoning, as this also linked back to the theme of water from Learning Pool’s initial brand.
We wanted the brand to own something, the symbolism that its competitors couldn’t and once claimed can’t.
Logo development heavily focused on the flow of water and learning, and this is how the final version came to exist. The primary reasoning behind using the speech bubble design in the logo, was that we learn from other people via communication. Ultimately, this allowed the design to, once again, link back to core Learning Pool logo as well
When it came to developing potential marketing materials, I wanted to explore the idea of water in the use of the logo and imagery. The minimal logo mark allowed for a variety of layouts and interactions, as shown.
